On June 10, 2020, Projerra started broadcasting on YouTube (ok – so I’m a little late with the announcement, but better late than never). Projerra is dedicated to sharing practical perspectives in IT project management and business analysis.  After 25+yrs in this domain, and helping thousands of students redirect their career, I wanted a new avenue by which to connect with interested stakeholders.  This channel is dedicated to sharing knowledge, insights, and perspectives.  It’s about the pragmatic and practical tips that I have learned and applied over the course of my career, so that others may benefit from my experience. Sure, you can learn about the various approaches and tools in school, but until you have applied them in the workplace, with a client, trying to solve real problems or take advantage of opportunities, you won’t truly understand the subtleties and nuances that come into play.  I hope to share these nuances with my audience. I remember being a new grad, sitting around a table with my co-workers, wondering how they know the questions to ask?  Where had they which type of analysis to perform.  I was in awe. Then about 10 years ago, a new grad asked the same question of me.  My response to her was: experience.   I have come to realized that I have quite a bit of experience and knowledge that I can share to make it easier for others who are just getting started or those redirecting their career. I’ve work as a software developer, team lead, manager, director, consultant and Instructor.  I’ve worked in telecom, analytics, banking, IT operations, and many other industries. I’ve worked with private sector and public sector organizations, large multinationals, small start ups, and not-for-profits, both in Canada and the United States. My perspective is unique.
  • I blend project management and business analysis tools and techniques
  • I understand the theory, but more importantly, I understand what works, what doesn’t, and the nuances of considering personality, team work, organizational culture and the environment in which an organization operates
